Exploring the hidden history of War sites in Lancashire

Welcome to my blog

This is the Blog page for Lancashire At War. A site about lost and largely unknown World War One, World War Two and Cold War sites in Lancashire - and beyond!

New pages and updates

By Lancashire At War, Dec 16 2017 11:11PM

A lot has been added (finally) recently to this site. Upates on the Pillboxes (up to three pages now) Road blocks etc is now up to a third page too! Also new things on POW camps - a new page on Glen Mill, Oldham and a really interesting update on Warth Mill, Bury. Not forgetting Knuzen has been updated with new (old) photos.

Another page has been added about Lowercroft Camp - a local lad's recollections. And a page about the Western Approaches, Liverpool - a top secret underground establishment that is now open to the public as a museum.

Plus a whole page about Radcliffe At War, and local parks Drinkwater and Philips - oh, and much more.....
